Does every cancer patient need a medical ID?
+
Not always, but they are strongly recommended if you are at risk for lymphedema, have an implanted port or PICC line, are on chemotherapy or immunotherapy, or have allergies or other conditions responders should know about. Ask your oncology team what they recommend for you.
What should a lymphedema bracelet say?
+
Keep it short so it can be read at a glance: your name, "LYMPHEDEMA ALERT," "NO BP/IV/NEEDLES," which arm (for example "LEFT ARM"), and an ICE number. Our Lymphedema Alert Bracelet comes with "Lymphedema Alert" on the front and up to six custom lines on the back.
Which arm should I wear it on?
+
Many people wear it on the affected arm so the warning is right where staff would take a blood pressure or start an IV, and engrave the side as well. Follow your care team’s advice for your situation.
I have a port or PICC line. What should I engrave?
+
Name the device and where it is, such as "IMPLANTED PORT R CHEST" or "PICC LINE L ARM," plus your treatment and an ICE number. Our engraving guide has more examples.
My treatment plan keeps changing. Is a QR code ID a good fit?
+
It can be. A QR code medical ID links to an online health profile you can update anytime, so medications, doctors and treatment details stay current while the engraving keeps the most critical alerts readable without a phone.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card, and what’s the warranty?
+
Yes, our medical IDs are HSA/FSA eligible. Orders are engraved and processed in 1–2 days, with free shipping over $75, and every piece has a 90-day warranty, extended to 180 days when you register your product.
