Finding Your Perfect Fit: A Simple Guide to Measuring Your Wrist

Getting the right fit for your bracelet is quick and easy. Just follow these three steps:

STEP ONE

Choose Your Measuring Tool: Use a soft measuring tape. If you don't have one, use string or dental floss and a ruler.

STEP TWO

Wrap and Measure: Wrap the tape (or string) around the narrowest part of your wrist so it’s snug but not tight. Make sure it lies flat against your skin.

STEP THREE

Note Your Size: For a measuring tape, read the number where it meets the zero mark. For string, mark the overlap, then measure it with a ruler. Write down your wrist size.

DETERMINING YOUR BRACELET SIZE

To determine the perfect bracelet size, start by measuring your wrist snugly.
Then,  add your comfort gap:

Once you have your exact wrist measurement, you'll add a little extra length for comfort. How much you add depends on two things: the thickness of your bracelet and the fit you prefer.

For a Snug Comfort Fit

*5mm thick or less: Add a minimum of 1/2 inch.
*More than 5mm thick: Add 3/4 inch.

For a Loose Fit (or to easily flip a Medical ID tag)

*5mm thick or less: Add a minimum of 3/4 inch.
*More than 5mm thick: Add a minimum of 1 inch.

A Quick Check: The 2-Finger Rule

Want to double-check your math before ordering? Wrap your measuring tape at your new calculated size. As a general rule of thumb, you should be able to comfortably slide two fingers between the tape and your wrist. If you can't, it might be too snug; if there is a lot of extra space, it might be too loose.

SIZING FAQs

No need to worry! We offer one free size exchange for all interchangeable bracelets within the first 30 days of purchase (you’ll just need to cover the shipping costs).

To ensure the perfect fit, we ask for your snug wrist measurement. As a general guideline, add 2 cm (0.8 in) to your wrist size for a comfortable fit. Prefer a looser fit? Size up. Want a tighter fit? Size down. The minimum additional length for a proper fit is about 3/8 inch. For example, a sporty person likely wouldn’t want a bracelet that dangles around their wrist, while others may prefer a looser fit. Everyone has unique preferences based on their lifestyle, and we offer a variety of designs to match your needs:

• Tight fit: Perfect for those who want a barely-there feel, as if they’re not wearing a medical ID bracelet at all.
• Snug fit: Ideal for those who prefer a secure, "just right" fit.
• Loose fit: Great for those who enjoy a relaxed, dangling feel and like flipping their bracelet to view the medical ID on the back.

Since fit can vary depending on the bracelet type and your personal preferences, feel free to share your snug wrist measurement along with your preferred fit—tight, snug, or loose—and we’ll happily double-check it for you!

While it might seem convenient to measure an existing bracelet, sizing can vary depending on the bracelet type. That’s why we recommend starting with an accurate wrist measurement. This ensures we can determine the ideal fit range for you.

No problem! We’ve got you covered with a wide selection of adjustable medical ID bracelets. Many feature sophisticated enclosures for easy, everyday wear. Simply choose the style that best fits your lifestyle!
