How to choose your medical ID.
The best medical ID is the one you’ll wear every day. Compare styles by how you live, how easily you can fasten them, and how much you need to engrave.

Four questions
Narrow it down in minutes.
Wrist or neck?
Bracelets are seen first and hard to miss. Necklaces suit people who can’t wear anything on the wrist.
How active are you?
Sport and swim call for silicone or steel. Work and evenings may call for a fashion chain.
Who fastens it?
Weak grip or arthritis? Choose an easy clasp. Dementia? Choose a removal-resistant safety clasp.
How much to engrave?
More conditions mean more lines. Dual-sided tags and wider plates hold the most.

Clasps & materials
Easy to wear, hard to lose.
Clasps. Lobster clasps are secure and common. Magnetic and toggle clasps are easier for limited dexterity. Our senior line uses a removal-resistant sister clasp that’s hard to undo by accident.
Materials. Divoti medical ID tags are 316L stainless steel, which resists rust and tarnish and holds a deep laser engraving. Silicone bands are soft, waterproof and light.
Visibility. A tag with the medical symbol helps responders recognize it as a medical ID, not ordinary jewelry.

Good questions
Choosing FAQ
Is a medical ID bracelet or necklace better?
Bracelets are the most common choice because responders check the wrist first and they’re easy to see. Necklaces are a good alternative if you can’t wear anything on your wrist. Either is far better than no ID.
What is the most durable medical ID material?
316L stainless steel resists rust and tarnish and holds a deep engraving, which is why Divoti uses it for its medical ID tags. Silicone bands are a durable, waterproof option for sport and everyday wear.
What medical ID is best for someone with dementia?
Choose a bracelet with a removal-resistant safety clasp so it can’t be taken off by accident, and engrave the name, condition and a caregiver’s phone number.
Can I replace the band and keep my engraved tag?
Yes, on interchangeable styles. Browse our replacement chains and check the product page to confirm the fit.
